The second chapter of the Drella’s Basement series unfolded on October 12th, 2023, within a disused boathouse situated on the estuary in Malahide - a structure once dedicated to boat-building, now long dormant.

We reactivated the site through an intensive process of restoration and spatial reimagining, converting it into a transient exhibition space. With the selection of participating artists complete, we engaged in a responsive curatorial approach - one that embraced the distinct character of the location while foregrounding a broad spectrum of emergent artistic practices.
