Clancy Quay Studios and SuperProjects are pleased to present Silver Apples of the Moon, Golden Apples of the Sun, a group exhibition featuring new work by the 2024–25 participants of the SuperProjects Professional Practice Programme – Jessie Alymer, Paddy Dennan, Sean Farrell, Chris Forrester, Heather Hughes, Hannah Jones, Nicole Manning, Feá McCoy, Aoife Ni Dhuinn, Conor O' Connell, Jack O'Dea, Jack O'Meara, Ailbhe Reilly Tuite, Fiona Timmons & Lara Quinn

Opening this evening, Thursday 6 February, from 6–8pm at Clancy Quay Studios in Islandbridge, Dublin, the exhibition brings together 15 emerging artists from across Ireland, each presenting an individual work that reflects a diverse and ambitious range of practices. The show offers a compelling snapshot of contemporary Irish art-making at a formative stage in each artist’s career.

The title, Silver Apples of the Moon, Golden Apples of the Sun, is drawn from W.B. Yeats’ poem The Song of Wandering Aengus, which reimagines the Irish myth of Aengus’s dream in a lush, lyrical register. The poem’s evocation of myth, transformation, and dream-states provides an apt conceptual frame for the exhibition, resonating with the undercurrents of imagination, personal symbolism, and introspection that run throughout the works on view.
This exhibition marks the culmination of a year-long professional development programme designed to support recent graduates through mentorship, peer exchange, and studio practice.

The exhibition runs from 6–10 February 2025 at Clancy Quay Studios, D08 RPF8. A series of events will accompany the exhibition throughout its run.

The programme and exhibition are generously supported by 'Mo Chara' (@_mochara) in Dundalk.
