"DRELLA'S BASEMENT" - Episode 3

The third and final chapter of the Drella’s Basement series took place on November 23rd 2023 in the lower level of the National College of Art & Design (NCAD), a space usually used as the campus canteen. For one night, this everyday setting was transformed into an atmospheric venue for an evening of art, jazz, tattooing, and connection.
By making only subtle changes to the space, we were able to shift its purpose entirely - creating an immersive experience that brought together different forms of creative expression and encouraged spontaneous social interaction.
We ran our final open call by placing posters around the campus, using a simple, direct method to engage the student community and stay true to the project’s values of openness, collaboration, and accessibility within an art school context.
