Sweet Splinters marks the first group show from the 2024/25 artists in residence at Clancy Quay Studios. The title emerged from a shared conversation about the realities of trying to build a life as an artist in Dublin after graduating — the pressure to climb, the uncertainty of the path, and how it rarely feels like a straight ladder. It’s more like a spiralling staircase: disorienting, uneven, sometimes painful, but not without moments of clarity and beauty along the way.
